Kristina Pervel, Dr. Krishan Bhima, Complete Family Eyecare
Before I even began my internship, I knew that optometry was the place for me. Every time I went in for my annual exam, I was fascinated by the equipment and pictures my doctor showed me. For me, it has always been a pleasant experience, but I have seen some patients who are less than pleased. Some have complaints about time or the treatment they receive. While sometimes it is patient personality, other times it can be a problem with the staff or how they interact with patients. That is why my essential question is so important. How can optometrists, opticians, and nurses provide better patient care and create the overall best experience anytime someone walks into the office. My internship has allowed me to witness patient-doctor interactions and given me ideas of how to act with my own patients in the future.
